To Become a Coach
Thank you for your interest in becoming a coach! Positions are listed on the TUSD Job Announcements page, under Extra Duty Positions.

National Federation of State High Schools - Fundamentals of Coaching Course - Beginning 2009-2010
All head and assistant coaches, whether paid or volunteer, hired before April 1st, 2009, must complete the NFHS Coach Education Program, or approved equivalent, no later than the beginning of the 2009-2010 school year (August 17, 2009). All head and assistant coaches, whether paid or volunteer, hired on or after April 1, 2009, must complete the NFHS Coach Education Program, or approved equivalent, within forty five (45) days from the date of hire. The AIA Executive Board recommends the NFHS "Fundamentals of Coaching" course. Certificate of completion must be submitted to your site administrator, Interscholastics and Human Resources. AIA Bylaw 17.1

Per TUSD guidelines, volunteer coaches must have completed NFHS Coach Education Program course at time of application.

CPR/First Aid Training
CPR and First Aid certificates are required for all coaches. Training can be obtained through any organization offering the required certificates. The only accepted online computer training for CPR & First Aid is listed below, no other online training will be accepted.
