Printing
Printing Presses
We essentially have two types of presses that print black ink and color work. The ABDick 9810 press is an older model that primarily handles black and 1-color printing.
Our Ryobi press is a workhorse
of a printing press that can churn out 1, 2 and 4-color work and does very
well running long jobs.
Short Run Black Ink
For small runs the Print Shop now has a Docutech 490, a 135 copy per minute
digital copier. This machine can handle those black ink jobs that need collating,
stapling and a quick turnaround. For larger runs we now have a Docutech 6135 with advanced binding options like stitching. Connected to it is a new Xerox DigiPath capable of scanning jobs
and editing documents before they are printed.
Short Run Color
For short run color copies and overheads there is a DocuSP 250 color copier. This high speed copier is networked to our Mac and PC computers which allow for first generation copies direct from the original electronic files. Hard copy originals are also used for second generation copies.
